{"id":627,"date":"2017-04-25T10:39:54","date_gmt":"2017-04-25T10:39:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.boxpodcommercialproperty.co.uk\/blog\/?p=627"},"modified":"2017-04-25T10:46:34","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T10:46:34","slug":"units-to-let-leicester","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boxpodcommercialproperty.co.uk\/blog\/units-to-let-leicester\/","title":{"rendered":"Units to let in Leicester"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><b>Record high<\/b><b> f<\/b><b>or<\/b><b> Leicestershire\u2019s industrial property sector in 2016<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\">ACTIVITY in the Leicestershire industrial sector recorded its highest ever take-up in 2016 at 3.2m sq ft, according to a report by one of the region\u2019s top commercial property consultancies. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\">The Innes England Market Insite report has been monitoring the regional property market for ten years \u2013 providing individual focuses on Leicester, Nottingham and Derby looking at offices, retail and storage units to let and buy, and industrial units and sites to rent and buy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><b>In Leicestershire, the report highlights: <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><b>Industrial take-up at record level of 3.2m sq ft, thanks to Amazon\u2019s 1m sq ft distribution centre in Bardon<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><b>PRS for Music and PPL moved forward with plans to locate a new joint venture outside London in Mercury Place<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><b>Highcross continued to attract new brands to city <\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><b>Prime yields across all sectors remained stable<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\">Peter Doleman, director at Innes England, said: \u201cDuring 2016 Leicester enjoyed success across all its major sectors and we saw strong levels of take-up.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 lang=\"de-DE\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Industrial units to let in Leicester<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201c<span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\">The industrial sector achieved a record high of 3.2m sq ft, thanks largely to Amazon\u2019s new distribution centre, which brought with it increased confidence in the market. The office sector has been dominated by smaller transactions, and 87% of the available space in the city is second-hand. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,serif;\">Peter added: \u201cPerhaps the most significant transaction in the office market was PRS for Music and PPL\u2019s decision to open an office in Mercury Place for its new joint venture, citing the city\u2019s talent pool and strong transport links as being attractive when looking at potential locations across the region.
